ATMOSPHERE ADVANTAGE COMFORT CLUB

Why join the comfort club?

At Atmosphere Climate Control, the Atmosphere Advantage Comfort Club is an annual membership program designed to provide homeowners with priority service, preferred pricing, and added peace of mind when it comes to their home comfort systems, including most major brands of heat pumps, HRVs, and electric hot water heaters. The Comfort Club gives members access to priority scheduling, emergency service availability, and exclusive savings that help reduce unexpected HVAC costs and ensure faster response when service is needed.

While Comfort Club membership is not required to receive scheduled service, diagnostics, or installation quotes during regular business hours, members receive added benefits and priority access beyond standard service.

All Atmosphere installation customers are automatically enrolled in the Atmosphere Advantage Comfort Club at no cost**.

Heating and cooling issues don’t always happen at convenient times. Diagnostic fees can add up, repairs can be unpredictable, and waiting for service during peak seasons can be frustrating. The Atmosphere Advantage Comfort Club allows our team to respond more efficiently by reserving priority scheduling, emergency service availability, and technical support seven days a week for members when urgent issues arise outside normal operating hours.

As an Atmosphere Advantage Comfort Club member, you receive 10% off all cleanings, 10% off all repairs, $50 off all diagnostic fees, priority scheduling year-round, and exclusive member discounts on replacement equipment, additional equipment, and accessories. In many cases, the savings from a single service visit can offset the cost of the annual membership, making it a simple way to lower overall HVAC expenses.

Our technicians are experienced with most heat pump and HVAC brands, and we take the time to properly diagnose issues, clearly explain what’s happening, and recommend solutions that address the root cause. Comfort Club membership helps ensure faster response times, consistent service, and continuity of care when comfort issues arise.

Why Regular Maintenance Matters

Heat pumps work hardest during extreme temperatures, making regular maintenance essential to prevent unexpected breakdowns. Scheduling a service visit helps you:

  • Save Energy: A well-maintained heat pump is up to 25% more efficient.
  • Cut Costs: Small issues caught early prevent expensive repairs.
  • Extend Lifespan: Routine checkups keep components in top condition.
  • Save Time: Maintenance is quicker and less disruptive than emergency repairs.

Grants and Programs

Explore our available grants and programs. These initiatives make it easier and more affordable to upgrade your heating system, improve energy efficiency, and reduce your carbon footprint. Take advantage of these opportunities to save on both installation costs and energy bills while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Best Ductless Heat Pump Nova Scotia

Many Nova Scotians are taking advantage of the new Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program and adding ductless heat pump systems to their homes.  In order for a heat pump system to qualify for the program the unit must be COLD CLIMATE CERTIFIED.  Even though a heat pump system is COLD CLIMATE CERTIFIED that does not mean that it will be the most efficient at heating your home.

Before Calling for Heat Pump or Air Conditioning Service

We’ve created a quick checklist to help you troubleshoot common issues before picking up the phone for a service call. Many problems are simple to resolve, and addressing them yourself can save time, money, and the awkwardness of paying for something easy to fix. That said, if you’re ever unsure or uncomfortable performing these checks, it’s always best to call a certified technician for help.

Check the Thermostat

Ensure it’s set to the correct mode (heating or cooling) and temperature. Double-check your settings to avoid any accidental misconfigurations—it’s a surprisingly common issue.

Look for Ice Buildup

If the indoor unit shows signs of ice, turn the system off immediately and check for blocked filters or registers. If the issue persists, call for professional assistance.

Verify the Power Supply

Check your circuit breakers, fuses, and outdoor disconnect switch for any issues. Power fluctuations or tripped breakers can interrupt your system.

Examine Indoor Panel Breakers

Centrally ducted heat pumps often have panel-mounted breakers that may trip. Reset them as needed and ensure they are functioning correctly.

Inspect the Air Filter

Dirty filters can restrict airflow and cause the system to malfunction. Replace or clean them regularly to maintain optimal performance.

Check for Water Overflow

Excess water near the air handler could indicate a clogged condensate line. If comfortable, detach and flush the line; otherwise, call a technician.

Reset Error Codes

For ductless mini-splits, power cycle the breaker (off for 2–3 minutes, then back on) to clear error codes or flashing lights.

Still have questions?

The best time for maintenance is spring or fall

The best time for maintenance is during the spring or fall, before your heat pump faces the heavy demands of summer cooling or winter heating. By scheduling your appointment with Atmosphere Climate Control during these seasons, you can ensure your system is operating at peak efficiency, avoid unexpected breakdowns, and enjoy reliable comfort in your home all year round. Don’t wait until problems arise—proactive care keeps your heat pump ready for whatever the weather brings.
